Allan R. Shickman is a cool art professor who has been writing cool young adult - teen fiction books since 2006. The first of his way cool kids' book series came out in 2007, and he has just finished the third of these cool guys' books. Allan taught the History of Art at the University of Northern Iowa, but now he lives and writes fiction books in St. Louis. Would it be redundant to say "COOL"? OK, guys, let's just say GREAT!
Inventing the cool Zan-Gah series
Zan-Gah author Allan Richard Shickman dreamed up Zan's exciting prehistoric adventures after thousands of miles of travel through mountains, deserts, and forests. The idea for this exciting guys' book series was born in a cave deep in the earth in the company of hundreds of bats! Way cool?
His Cool Accomplishments
Allan is an artist, teacher, actor, author, historian, chef, and a former Boy Scout. He has published non fiction articles in cool journals like The Art Bulletin, Art History, English Literary Renaissance, Studies in English Literature: 1500-1900, Notes and Queries, and Colby Quarterly. He was also Art and Music Bibliographer for Shakespeare Quarterly. Allan has had many letters in various newspapers, including over a dozen in The New York Times. Cool!
